Was Acceptable in the 90's?

I was downloading songs a couple of nights ago and I just downloaded some songs I listened while I was growing up. One of them was TLC, Crazy Sexy Cool....I loved that album....this was my favorite song from the album...Diggin on you...I guess this was when they coined the phrase "I Dig you"...Correct me if im wrong im just guessin...anyways here goes, enjoy and have a good night!
